Pitches are flat, all-weather hard standings with a choice of grass pitches during the main season.
All pitches have 16 amp electric hook-up.
Clean, modern facilities are contained within a well-equipped, heated building which includes a disabled suite.
Showers are roomy and there’s no extra charge for showers or hot water.
Sheltered washing-up sinks are adjacent to the facilities building.

Gelderwood Country Caravan Park is set in 15 acres of woodland and riverside walks are ideal to exercise your dogs or to enjoy a picnic on the meadow in fine weather.
For supplies, there is a supermarket in Heywood and local shops within a few minutes’ drive.
You will find restaurants within walking distance of the caravan site with something for every taste from the country pub to fine dining.

Our own woodland paths lead to the Lancashire and Yorkshire moors where there’s unlimited horse-riding, cycling and walking.
The Pennine Bridleway passes a few miles away.
The Rochdale Canal path joins picturesque old mill towns along the Calder valley up to Hebden Bridge where a Visitor and Canal center is.

How To Find Us
Leave M62 (M60) at J18 and join the M66 (Bury).
Leave M66 at J2 and follow A58 to Heywood.
In Heywood, look for Morrisons supermarket on the left, keeping out of the filter lane into the supermarket.
At the junction, turn left into Bamford Road.
Proceed 1/2 mile to the ‘T’ junction.
Turn left onto Bury and Rochdale Old Road.
Within 100 yards, turn right into Ashworth Road.
Continue over the bridge and up the hill for 800 yards.
The site is on the right (opposite the Scout Camp).
